5K WALK/RUN
Take it to the Streets: A Do-It-Yourself “DIY” Event
Again this year, the NASP 5K Walk/Run will feature a fabulous t-shirt, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to donate to a local charity. Based on input from the 2009 convention in Boston, several scheduled, guided runs and walks are available in Chicago. This year’s DIY event features 4 or 5 different organized run/walk opportunities, all at whatever date/time is convenient for you. Just sign up for the walk or run of your choice and then show up at the designated time and departure point. Or, if you choose, you also may go it alone or with your own group. Brave the weather—whatever it might be—with a downtown walk or a run along the lake. Suggested route information, along with your t-shirt, will be provided on site at the 5K counter in the NASP Convention Registration Area in the Grand Ballroom Foyer on the Gold Level in the East Tower of the Hyatt.
Registration is required, and the on-site registration fee is $25. Register to participate and contribute to the Greater Chicago Food Depository charity. Walk, run, but definitely plan to “Take it to the streets” in Chicago!
The 5K booth will be open during the following hours:
