WS23: Using AIMSweb Data at the Student, Classroom, School, and District Levels Sessions and Workshops Qualifying for NASP and APA-Approved Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Documentation

This workshop will provide school psychologists with tools to conduct advanced AIMSweb data interpretation and reporting. The target audience is elementary-, middle-, and/or high school-level personnel. Specifically, attendees will learn the following through role-play, case studies, and lecture: how to interpret a variety of reports within the AIMSweb system to facilitate improved grade level team meetings, facilitate RTI-related dialogue, inform instructional programming decisions, and facilitate improved outcomes for students.

Workshop participants will be able to recognize strengths and difficulties of core through tiered instruction and interpret behavioral data and discuss the programming implications the data may have.

Lisa A. Langel, Pearson, Scotsdale, AZ, Lisa A. Langell, is the National Manager of AIMSweb Training/Professional Development Services for Pearson. She is an experienced school psychologist specializing in RTI. Her research has involved identifying reading growth rates for English language learners. She has consulted with hundreds of educational organizations internationally as they adopt RTI and AIMSweb®.

Misty D. Sprague, MA, EdS, NCSP, Pearson, Colorado City, Misty D. Sprague, MA, EdS, NCSP, works for Pearson as a National Training Consultant. She assists in the development of training materials and provides on-site and Web-based training for AIMweb and other Clinical Assessment products. Misty has a background as a school psychologist, student services coordinator, RTI consultant, and special education teacher.
