Description:

This workshop will provide model practices to deal with a tragic loss by suicide in a school community. Enhanced by the testimonies of the presenters, participants will learn how to provide the tools for a coordinated crisis response, help students cope, work effectively with the community, make appropriate choices supporting memorialization, use social media to identify and respond to at-risk students, provide opportunities for grief support, and minimize the risk of suicide contagion.
