MS127: Evidence-Based Practices for School Refusal and Truancy

This purpose of this mini-skills session will be to provide participants with an overview of universal, targeted, and intensive evidence-based practices for addressing the problem of school refusal and truancy. Participants will gain an understanding of how to address school refusal and truancy with a comprehensive approach through school, family, and community-based partnerships. Participants will learn how to select interventions based on the functions or causes of a student's school refusal behavior.
