WS07: Using Cognitive Neuropsychology to Develop Evidence-Based Reading, Writing, and Math Interventions

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

This workshop will examine reading, writing, and math disorders from a brain-based educational perspective. The primary learning objectives will be to classify learning disabilities into distinct subtypes based upon neural pathways in the brain. A detailed discussion will link each learning disorders’ subtype with specific interventions. The use of neuropsychological assessment within a four-tier response-to-intervention (RTI) model will be featured as the primary means to identify specific learning deficits in children.
