WS15: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: Linking Assessment and Evidence-Based Interventions

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 2:30 PM–5:30 PM

This workshop will address the effects of prenatal alcohol exposure on cognitive, social, and behavioral functioning in children and adolescents. Case studies, didactic training, and group discussion will be used to review diagnostic criteria and evidence-based interventions for children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs). Participants will learn about the neurobehavioral effects of prenatal alcohol exposure, screening and assessment processes, and research-supported interventions to assist children with FASDs in successfully navigating educational environments.
