WS27: RTI for English Language Learners: Appropriate Screening, Intervention, and Progress Monitoring

The objectives of this workshop are to enable participants to

Presenters will discuss the importance of students’ linguistic and cultural backgrounds, an overview of second language development, and factors that affect students’ learning. Research on screening, progress monitoring, and instruction and interventions within an RTI framework will be reviewed and explicit recommendations provided.
