WS30: A Process Approach Integrating Cognitive and Achievement Testing for Intervention

Thursday, February 14, 2013 4:30 PM–7:30 PM

The Wechsler ability and achievement scales provide a wealth of information about the cognitive strengths and weaknesses of children with developmental disorders. Applying a process approach of observation and using additional procedures enables the clinician to better pinpoint cognitive and academic problems. Session attendees will learn strategies to effectively use the Wechsler scales and targeted measures from PAL-II, ACS, and NEPSY-II to identify specific cognitive and academic difficulties for more targeted intervention and accommodation recommendations.
