WS35: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Depressed Children and Adolescents

Thursday, February 14, 2013 8:30 AM–3:30 PM
Friday, February 15, 2013 8:30 AM–11:30 AM

Depression among youth is an increasingly important concern. This workshop will review the cognitive–behavioral therapy treatment protocol developed for the Treatment for Adolescents with Depression Study. Using lectures and role-plays, the session will present a range of cognitive and behavioral assessment and treatment strategies. The goals will be practical—to provide cutting edge, empirically supported CBT treatment strategies for depressed youth and to familiarize participants with the empirical evidence in support of their utility.
