WS37: Evidence-Based Interventions for Students with Memory Pro

This K–12 applicable workshop will cover working memory, cognitive load theory, long-term memory systems and processes, relationships between memory and academic learning, neuroanatomy of memory, hippocampus functions, risk factors, memory dysfunctions and disorders, metamemory and strategy development, evidence-based exercises and strategies, and instructional approaches that enhance memory. Learning objectives include increased knowledge and skills identifying memory systems and structures, identifying at-risk populations, and implementing evidence-based strategies. Instructional strategies include PowerPoint, case studies, discussion, and videos.
