PA558: Growing Up ELL: What School Psychologists Can Do to Help

This presentation will inform attendees about specific issues facing English language learners (ELLs), including academic, linguistic, cultural, and social factors. Attendees will gain knowledge for responding to instructional, intervention, and assessment concerns for ELL students. The presenter will discuss components of effective instruction and current research on evidence-based interventions. Attendees will benefit from learning how to effectively and responsibly support, assess, and evaluate ELL students and prepare interpreters.
