SY050: Implementing Restorative Practices within CLD Schools: Strategies for Systems Change

Friday, February 21, 2014 8:00 AM–9:20 AM

Description:

This symposium offers participants five cases of systemic use of Restorative Practices (RP) at high need elementary or high schools. With limited funds and positive outcomes for students, teachers, and parents, practitioners used RP approaches for improving relationships and positive discipline while reducing harm, behavioral issues, and suspensions. Practitioners report how they and stakeholders designed, implemented, and adjusted evidence-based approaches to meet the needs of their CLD school and implement the NASP Practice Model.
