PO002: The calm after the Storm: Identifying training needs following SANDY


The purpose of the current study was to obtain critical information from school psychology graduate students completing an internship in the NYC metro area following “Superstorm Sandy”. Results yielded from a small pilot study (n=20) identified school psychology interns’ perceived knowledge, competence and training needs in crisis prevention and intervention. Attendees will benefit by obtaining information pertaining to the crisis prevention and intervention training needs of future school psychologists as well those currently in practice.
