PO006: Teachers' Knowledge Use and Acceptability of Universal Screening Assessments

Wednesday, February 19, 2014 3:00 PM–4:30 PM

Research indicates that individuals who find assessments acceptable are more likely to use them; however, evidence regarding acceptability of universal screeners is outdated. The purpose of this study was to examine teachers’ knowledge, use, and acceptability of two universal screening assessments widely used for identifying “at-risk” students and making instructional decisions. Practitioners and researchers will learn about teacher’s understanding and acceptability of universal screeners and the ways in which teachers use resultant universal screening data.
