WS028: Implementing Response to Intervention at the Middle and High School Levels

Thursday, February 20, 2014 12:30 PM–3:30 PM

Description:

Staff development and implementation of RTI have focused almost exclusively on the elementary level or have extended the elementary approach to secondary settings. Although well intentioned, the result has been too few middle and high school RTI implementations. This introductory workshop assumes the participant is at the beginning stages of secondary-level implementation and thus will provide illustrations of the needed skill sets, resources to find them, and guidance in structuring a secondary-level multitier model. The workshop will include training on a set of four structured self-studies to support implementation.
