WS032: Executive Function: From Assessment to Intervention

Description:

This presentation will (a) provide an overview the of historical and current theories and definitions of executive functioning (EF), (b) discuss the most current research reflecting the core issues that make up these hypothesized functions, and (c) review behaviors considered characteristic of EF as well as current diagnostic protocols and intervention. The presentation will include a discussion of data from the largest epidemiological and standardization sample completed thus far, which examines EF in the general population of children.
