SE001: Red Cross Training: Foundations of Disaster Mental Health

This tailored version of the American Red Cross's Foundations for Disaster Mental Health training course is one of the prerequisites to becoming certified as a volunteer in the Disaster Mental Health Network for the Red Cross. This session offers the training and theoretical and practical information necessary for providing American Red Cross crisis intervention services to shelter residents, staff, and others involved in disasters. Participants will learn how to work within Red Cross protocol to assist people in emergencies. This session is sponsored by the Convention Committee. Preregistration and a $20 materials and processing fee are required.
