PA016: Helping Children Perform Phoneme Skills Independently By Systematically Deintensifying Interventions
Friday, February 21, 2014 9:00 AM–9:50 AM
Description: The purpose of this paper is to present ways to systematically de-intensify interventions by scaffolding children’s academic performance. A study that demonstrated the effectiveness of scaffolding children’s phonemic awareness using supportive structures will illustrate how to systematically de-intensify an intervention as children independently perform a skill.
