PA020: Challenges in RTI Implementation: Perspectives of Elementary School Psychologists

The purpose of this presentation is to present the results of research of school psychologists’ perceptions of RTI in elementary school settings. Practicing school psychologists were interviewed regarding their perceptions of RTI and barriers to effective RTI implementation. Common themes across interviewees will be highlighted and implications for training and practice will be discussed. Participants will benefit by learning how to better promote positive, systems-level change through the effective implementation of RTI.
