PO032: Meta-Analysis of Working Memory Deficits in Children with ADHD

The present review presents an updated research synthesis on ADHD-related working memory deficits. Eight studies yielded effect sizes ranging from -1.45 to 2.57, with a mean of -.32. Results did suggest a moderate degree of inconsistency in the relationship between WM deficits and ADHD. Despite the inconsistencies, overall children with ADHD were found to have a deficit in WM.
