PO037: WISC-IV Factor Index Score Incremental Predictive Validity in Clinical Assessments

Thursday, February 20, 2014 9:30 AM–11:00 AM

Incremental validity of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition (WISC–IV; Wechsler, 2003) factor index scores was examined using hierarchical multiple regression analyses with children (N=345) assessed for learning difficulties. WISC–IV FSIQ predicted 8.8%–43.4% of WIAT–II subtest and composite score variance (ps<.0001). The combined effect of WISC–IV factor index scores accounted for an additional 0.7%–5.9% of WIAT–II subtest and composite score variance but only Word Reasoning was statistically significant.
