PO042: Educational Administrators and School Psychologists:Combined Expertise in School Improvement

Thursday, February 20, 2014 3:30 PM–5:00 PM

Research indicates that clear and collaborative relationships facilitate school improvement by creating supportive learning environments. This exploratory study identifies 3 themes that promote/obstruct collaboration between school administrators and school psychologists. Faculty will be provided with pre-service strategies to facilitate collaboration in both coursework and field experiences. Practitioners will be provided with examples of in-service opportunities for collaboration in areas including instructional support, professional development, and family and community outreach.
