MS021: Autism Evaluations Best Practice Methods and the DSM 5

The transition to the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria requires school psychologists to be up-to-date on the best practice protocol to complete multi-modal autism evaluations in schools. Participants gain an overview of best practice autism evaluation tools, including DVD case examples. They learn to use a conceptual framework with positive, school-friendly language when describing the key features of spectrum differences. Materials include a comprehensive packet of resources for school psychologists to enhance their autism evaluation toolkit.
