PO049: A Randomized Trial of a Computer-Assisted Intervention Targeting Letter Sounds

Wednesday, February 19, 2014 3:00 PM–4:30 PM

This poster will present evidence that Tutoring Buddy, which is a computer-assisted tutoring program designed to teach children letter sounds using incremental rehearsal, is an efficient tool for increasing the letter sound knowledge, letter sound fluency, and nonsense word fluency of young students, including those who are ELL. Attendees will learn how Tutoring Buddy can be feasibly implemented as a preventative intervention by a variety of adults in a range of settings.
