PO071: Pre-Service Teachers' Responses to Student Behavior in a Mixed-Reality Environment

Friday, February 21, 2014 11:30 AM–1:00 PM

Description:

Do teachers use different classroom management techniques based on the gender or the specific misbehavior of the student they are interacting with? We will provide the results of a study showing that pre-service teachers respond differently to avatar student behavior in a mixed-reality environment based on the type of misbehavior that is presented. Practitioners will learn more about how pre-service teachers respond to students and the need for additional training using positive behavioral supports.
