PI007: Reducing Special Education Costs Through a Comprehensive Behavior Program

This presentation will focus on a new behavior intervention program designed to reduce the out-of-district placement costs of public school districts while increasing retention rates of special education students. Participants will learn: (1) the components and implementation of this district-wide behavior intervention program, (2) best practices in improving behavior, crisis management, and social-emotional well-being, and (3) ways that school leaders can reduce out-of-district placement costs, meanwhile, increasing retention rates of students with special needs.
