MS043: A Three Tiered Prevention-Intervention School Based Mindfulness Program

Participants will become familiar with the current research on mindfulness and children's mental health. Participants will: 1) gain an understanding of the research supporting the use of mindfulness with children; 2) be given information about a new 3-tiered school-based mindfulness model addressing prevention, early intervention, and targeted intervention services, and; 3) be educated on and participate in school-based mindfulness techniques and interventions. Handouts highlighting the model and practical tools will be offered.
