MS044: Using Progress Monitoring and Trans-situational Assessment to Guide Instruction

Thursday, February 20, 2014 10:00 AM–11:50 AM

This session will present a case study illustrating how to identify when it is necessary to gather information outside the school setting to increase the reliability and validity of results and conclusions and how to apply effective assessment practices across multiple settings to accurately identify students’ educational needs and appropriate educational settings and interventions. Progress monitoring data will be shown documenting exceptionally large improvements in cognitive, adaptive and academic functioning resulting from program change.
