PA097: Parent Education for ADHD Preschoolers: Treatment Development Process and Outcomes

Description:

This paper describes the process of refining an efficacious parent education program for young children at-risk for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). A treatment development process is described including obtaining feedback from community stakeholders as well as two cohorts of families (N = 15) who received parent education. Child and parent outcomes are reported. Practitioners and researchers working with young children with challenging behavior will learn a treatment development process to enhance family engagement with parent education.
