PI016: Fostering Positive School Climates For LGBTQ Youth

How do researchers delineate the features of a positive school environment when considering the needs of LGBTQ youth? Furthermore, how much differentiation should be made when studying the LGBTQ community when assessing these needs? Students and practitioners interested in serving LGBTQ students will learn from this literature review the wide variability in regards to how positive school climate and the LGBTQ community are distinguished. Discussion regarding how best to resolve these differences will be encouraged.
