WS012: Emotional Disorders/Behavioral Disorders: Neurobiological Perspectives on Assessment and Intervention

Wednesday, February 19, 2014 7:30 AM–10:30 AM

Though current definitions continue to distinguish emotional disorders and behavioral disorders, more than two decades of scientific research suggests that neurobiological anomalies underlie both, possibly rendering a distinction untenable. This workshop incorporates emerging neurobiological research into a comprehensive assessment and intervention protocol that has been used to develop more effective interventions for both internalizing and externalizing disorders and to resolve the conundrum of social maladjustment.
