MS074: Behavioral and Academic Progress Monitoring: Helping Children with Intensive Needs

This session will enhance practitioners’ use of progress monitoring data to inform intensive intervention (sometimes called Tier 3). Following an overview of progress monitoring within the context of data-based individualization, attendees will learn how to select assessments, use direct behavior rating (DBR), set academic and behavior goals, and make decisions based on graphed data. Participants will receive summary handouts, a resources guide, DBR forms, and an Excel tool that calculates goals using student data.
