MS079: Technological Advancements in Conducting Direct Systematic Observations

Technological advancements in conducting systematic direct observation have emerged in the last few years. These advancements using Smartphone and Tablet devices have provided opportunities for ongoing successful assessment of important classroom and school-based observational data. This mini-skills workshop will provide participants with exposure to a variety of technologically advanced tools available for observation. In particular, presentation of the Behavior Observation in Schools (BOSS) code as well as similar tools will be provided.
