PI024: Effective Service Delivery for Students Living in Foster Care

Thursday, February 20, 2014 3:00 PM–3:45 PM

Description:

General trends suggest that foster children are at increased risk for negative health, social-emotional and mental health outcomes. As foster children are considered an often-overlooked, high-risk group, efforts have been made to provide effective programming that aims to improve developmental outcomes for these children. In this Participant Information Exchange, school-based practitioners will learn about best practices for students in foster care and will share knowledge about current effective programs in place at their schools.
