PI025: Developing School Psychology Competencies Through Specialist Level Practica

Practicum is a required component of school psychology training, but professional guidelines have been vague. Practica activities across all training domains and collaboration with field-based supervisors are critical for acquisition of a broad range of competencies. This presentation will address correspondence of best practices, didactic instruction, and practicum experiences. Attendees will be invited to discuss issues related to practicum sites, supervision, and field-based assignments.
