SY016: Repeated Reading as an Evidence-Based Intervention for English Language Learners

The presenters will (a) review the evidence-based research for Repeated Reading (RR) in the context of instruction for ELLs; (b) describe the development, implementation and outcomes of a RR intervention for ELLs; and (c) provide practical recommendations for developing and adapting reading fluency strategies for ELLs. The discussant will reflect on the four papers provided in this presentation and will identify future research questions focusing on RR as a promising EBI for ELLs.
